BMW M2 xDrive Turbo Edition Set for India, Pre-Orders Now Open

Team ET October 14, 2026 2 min read

BMW India has opened pre-orders for the BMW M2 xDrive Turbo Edition, a limited-run performance coupe that brings together modern M engineering and design references to one of the brand’s most recognisable turbocharged cars, the 1973 BMW 2002 Turbo.

The special edition will be available in India in strictly limited numbers, with bookings being accepted through authorised BMW dealerships on a first-come, first-served basis.

Classic Turbo Inspiration, Modern M Styling

The M2 xDrive Turbo Edition gets an Alpine White exterior highlighted by hand-painted BMW Motorsport stripes. The black power dome and reversed ‘turbo’ lettering on the bonnet are direct nods to the original 2002 Turbo, while a dedicated turbo emblem sits beneath the M2 badge.

The motorsport-inspired treatment continues with a carbon-fibre roof and tailgate, along with a carbon-fibre rear spoiler. Buyers can also opt for 19-inch front and 20-inch rear M Performance forged wheels finished in Gold Bronze.

A Driver-Focused Cabin

Inside, the special edition features M Carbon bucket seats, an M Alcantara steering wheel and carbon-fibre interior trim. An exclusive turbo badge on the centre cupholder cover adds another detail that distinguishes this version from the regular M2.

Rather than relying only on cosmetic changes, the edition builds its identity around the combination of the M2’s compact coupe proportions, performance-focused cabin and heritage-inspired detailing.

480 hp From a Six-Cylinder Engine

Power comes from a 3.0-litre inline-six petrol engine producing 480 hp (353 kW). The coupe can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in a claimed 3.7 seconds.

Its electronically limited top speed is 250 km/h, rising to 285 km/h when equipped with the optional M Driver’s Package.

The addition of BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-drive system brings a new dimension to the M2 formula, combining the model’s compact dimensions with enhanced traction and acceleration.

An Exclusive Addition to BMW M’s Line-up

The M2 xDrive Turbo Edition celebrates an important chapter in BMW’s turbocharging history while applying that legacy to a contemporary performance car. Its limited availability and distinctive design details are likely to appeal to enthusiasts looking for something more exclusive than the standard M2.

BMW India has not specified the exact number of units allocated to the country in its announcement. Pre-orders are now open through the brand’s authorised dealer network.
