2026 Toyota Glanza Facelift Launched at ₹6.99 Lakh With New Engine and ADAS
Toyota has refreshed its premium hatchback offering in India with the launch of the 2026 Glanza facelift. Starting at ₹6.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the updated model brings a revised appearance, a new petrol engine and a wider range of technology features, while retaining its familiar hatchback proportions.
The Glanza continues to target buyers looking for a practical city car with the added appeal of Toyota’s brand and ownership network.

A Fresh Face for the Familiar Hatchback
The most noticeable changes are concentrated at the front. The 2026 Glanza features a redesigned grille with satin-finished detailing, revised LED fog lamps and an updated front-end treatment that gives it a slightly different character.
Toyota has also introduced two new exterior shades, Digital Teal Green and Bluish Black. Elsewhere, the hatchback retains its established silhouette, alloy wheel design and rear styling, keeping the changes evolutionary rather than a complete redesign.
A New Engine Takes Centre Stage
Under the bonnet, the facelift marks a significant mechanical change. Toyota has replaced the outgoing four-cylinder petrol engine with a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder Z-series unit.
The petrol engine produces 83hp and 112Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between a five-speed manual gearbox and an automated manual transmission (AMT).
For those prioritising running costs, the CNG option remains available. It produces 70hp and 102Nm and is offered with manual and AMT transmissions.
Toyota’s claimed fuel-efficiency figures stand at 23.80kmpl for the petrol-manual and 24.77kmpl for the petrol-AMT. The CNG versions deliver claimed figures of 33.61km/kg with the manual gearbox and 34.47km/kg with the AMT.
The switch to a three-cylinder engine brings a change in character, with the focus remaining on everyday usability and fuel efficiency.

More Comfort and Technology Inside
The equipment list receives several additions aimed at making daily commutes more comfortable. Highlights include ventilated front seats, leatherette upholstery and a wireless phone charger with cooling functionality.
The Glanza also features a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a head-up display, automatic climate control, rear AC vents and a 360-degree camera.
Safety technology sees an update as well, with the addition of a tyre pressure monitoring system and Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). Six airbags, hill-hold control and ISOFIX child-seat anchors are also part of the package.
Prices and Variants
The 2026 Toyota Glanza is available in five variants: E, S, G, V and V (O). The prices are as mentioned

All prices are ex-showroom.
Where It Stands
The Glanza remains part of the competitive premium hatchback segment, where it faces rivals such as the Hyundai i20 and Tata Altroz, alongside its closely related sibling, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno.
With the facelift, Toyota has focused on refining the existing formula rather than reinventing the car. The revised styling, new engine and additional features are intended to keep the Glanza relevant for buyers who want a compact hatchback suited to everyday Indian driving.
