Hyundai Unveils Sportier Tucson N Line at Paris Motor Show 2026

Team ET October 14, 2026 4 min read

Hyundai has unveiled the all-new Tucson N Line at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, introducing a sportier version of its next-generation SUV. The new model combines distinctive N Line styling with electrified powertrain options, updated cabin technology and the practicality expected from a family SUV.

Revealed less than two weeks after the world premiere of the all-new Tucson, the N Line variant builds on Hyundai’s ‘Art of Steel’ design philosophy, adding more aggressive styling elements inspired by the brand’s performance-oriented N models.

Hyundai Tucson N Line: Sportier Exterior Design

The all-new Tucson N Line receives a dedicated exterior package that gives the SUV a sharper and more athletic appearance. At the front, it features a redesigned bumper with a pronounced chin spoiler and satin-black aero ducts, while the muscular side skirts and body-coloured lower door trims further enhance its road presence.

Other highlights include gloss-black door mirrors, gloss-black C-pillar inserts, slimmer wheel-arch cladding and a sculpted rear bumper with diffuser-style detailing. Twin exhaust outlets with sporty brightwork and distinctive N Line badges complete the exterior treatment.

The SUV also gets model-exclusive 20-inch alloy wheels, reinforcing its sporty stance. The design retains the muscular proportions, H-Edge lighting and sculptural Prism Rear Lamp introduced with the new-generation Tucson.

Sporty Cabin With Red Accents

Inside, the Hyundai Tucson N Line features an exclusive black monotone interior with contrasting red stitching and detailing across the seats, dashboard and door panels.

The seats combine leather and textile suede, while the N-specific steering wheel features perforated leather grips, red stitching and dark-metal inserts. Metal pedals, a matching footrest and N Line scuff plates further distinguish the cabin from the standard model.

Despite its sportier appearance, the SUV retains its everyday practicality. The new Tucson offers up to 613 litres of rear cargo capacity, along with a flexible 4:2:4 split-folding rear bench that can slide by 150 mm.

Second-row passengers also benefit from two 100W USB-C charging ports, while dual 15W Qi 2.0 wireless smartphone charging is available. Depending on the variant and market, additional equipment includes relaxation seats, an Ergo Motion driver’s seat, multi-air climate control and Remote Smart Parking Assist.

Hyundai Tucson N Line: Engine and Hybrid Options

Hyundai will offer the all-new Tucson N Line with petrol mild-hybrid, conventional hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains.

The entry-level option is a 1.6-litre T-GDi petrol engine with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system, producing 150 PS. It is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and front-wheel drive.

The hybrid version combines a 1.6-litre turbo-petrol engine with a 1.49kWh battery, delivering a combined output of 245 PS. It gets a six-speed automatic transmission, with front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations available.

The plug-in hybrid variant combines a 1.6-litre turbo-petrol engine with a 17.1kWh battery and electric motor. The system produces 292 PS, while the electric driving range is rated at up to 67km with the N Line’s 20-inch wheels. Both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations will be offered.

These figures are subject to final homologation, and specifications may vary by market.

Updated Infotainment and Safety Technology

The all-new Tucson range introduces Hyundai’s Pleos Connect infotainment system, based on Android Automotive OS. Depending on the specification, the central touchscreen is available in 12.9-inch and 17-inch sizes, accompanied by a 9.9-inch driver display.

The system integrates compatible applications and connected services, while the Gleo AI voice assistant uses live internet data to support a more intuitive in-car experience. Over-the-air software updates allow selected vehicle systems and infotainment functions to be updated remotely.

A 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen premium audio system and interactive ambient lighting with Smart Mood Lamp are also available, depending on the variant.

Safety and driver-assistance features include Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 2.0, Highway Driving Assist 2.0, Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist and Child Presence Detection. Hybrid models also feature Stay Mode, which allows selected cabin functions to operate while the combustion engine remains switched off.

Hyundai Tucson N Line: Is It a Performance SUV?

Unlike a dedicated high-performance model, the Tucson N Line focuses primarily on sportier styling rather than a separate performance-oriented mechanical package. It combines the new Tucson’s powertrain options, comfort and technology with more expressive exterior and interior details.

The result is an SUV aimed at buyers who want a more distinctive appearance without compromising everyday usability.

Will the New Hyundai Tucson N Line Launch in India?

Hyundai has presented the all-new Tucson N Line at the 2026 Paris Motor Show as part of its European model lineup. The announcement does not confirm an India launch or Indian-market specifications.

For now, the focus remains on the model’s European unveiling, with its combination of sporty styling, electrified powertrains and updated in-car technology marking the next step in the Tucson’s evolution.
