Hero Xtreme 250R Carbon Launched at ₹1.98 Lakh With Cruise Control and Quickshifter
Hero MotoCorp has given its Xtreme 250R a major feature upgrade with the launch of the new Xtreme 250R Carbon in India. Priced at ₹1.98 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the updated motorcycle gets a fresh cosmetic treatment along with several new electronic features.
The biggest changes are not under the fuel tank but around the rider. Cruise control, a bi-directional quickshifter, traction control and four riding modes make the updated Xtreme 250R a more technology-focused offering in the 250cc motorcycle segment.

What’s New on the Hero Xtreme 250R Carbon?
The new Carbon edition gets carbon-fibre-style body panels created using a hydro-dipping process. These are complemented by gold-finished front forks, coloured alloy wheels, rim tapes and revised graphics. Hero has also made more than 50 fit-and-finish improvements to the motorcycle.
The overall streetfighter design remains familiar, with its muscular proportions and sporty stance. The changes are intended to give the motorcycle a more premium appearance without altering its basic design.
Buyers can choose from three colour options: Carbon Red, Carbon White and Carbon Black.
More Technology for Everyday Riding
The updated Xtreme 250R gets a 4.2-inch full-colour TFT instrument display, replacing the earlier LCD console. It supports Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, call and message alerts, along with lap timer and drag timer functions.
Another important addition is cruise control, which allows riders to maintain a selected speed without continuously operating the throttle. It could prove useful during longer highway rides.
The motorcycle also gets a bi-directional quickshifter that allows clutchless upshifts and downshifts. This is paired with a six-speed gearbox and is designed to make gear changes quicker and more convenient, particularly during spirited riding.

Four Riding Modes and a New Rear Suspension
The ride-by-wire throttle system brings four riding modes: Rain, Road, Sport and Track. The motorcycle also gets traction control, with the electronic system calibrated according to the selected riding mode.
A tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) is another addition. It displays tyre pressure and temperature information, helping riders keep track of tyre conditions.
The rear suspension has also received an upgrade in the form of Frequency Selective Damping (FSD). The system adjusts its damping response according to the frequency of suspension movement, aiming to improve comfort over uneven surfaces while maintaining stability. The motorcycle continues to use 43mm upside-down front forks.
Engine Remains Unchanged
Powering the Hero Xtreme 250R Carbon is the familiar 249cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. It produces around 30hp and 25.3Nm of peak torque and is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
Hero claims a 0–60kmph acceleration time of 3.2 seconds. While the engine’s basic configuration remains unchanged, the additional electronics and revised suspension are intended to enhance the overall riding experience.
Price and Availability in India
The Hero Xtreme 250R Carbon has been launched at an introductory price of ₹1.98 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. It is positioned above the standard Xtreme 250R and will be sold through Hero Premia dealerships.
Bookings opened on October 17, 2026, with customer deliveries scheduled to begin on November 1, 2026.
With its new rider aids, updated instrument console and revised styling, the Xtreme 250R Carbon brings a more feature-rich package to Hero’s 250cc streetfighter. The focus this time is less on changing the motorcycle’s core performance and more on adding technology that riders can use on everyday roads as well as longer rides.
