2026 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Launched at ₹1.27 Lakh; Gets Cruise Control and TFT Display

Hero MotoCorp has updated the Xtreme 160R 4V in India, bringing sharper styling, new features and revised variants to its sporty commuter motorcycle. Prices start at ₹1.27 lakh (ex-showroom), while the top-spec Carbon variant costs ₹1.41 lakh.

The latest update gives the Xtreme 160R 4V a stronger feature package, particularly on the higher variants, as Hero looks to attract buyers in the competitive 160cc motorcycle segment.

Sharper Styling and New Variants

The updated Xtreme 160R 4V gets revised bodywork, with sharper lines around the fuel tank and rear seat cowl. Hero has also introduced new colour options across the range.

The motorcycle is now available in three variants: Standard, Pro and Carbon. The Standard replaces the previous entry-level version, while the earlier Combat Edition makes way for the Pro. The new Carbon sits at the top of the range.

The Standard is offered in Firestorm Red and Pearl Black. The Pro gets Pro Red and Pro Black, while the Carbon is available in Carbon Red, Carbon Black, Carbon Grey and Abrax Orange.

Engine Gets a Small Power Boost

Power comes from the familiar 164.32cc, oil-cooled, four-valve, single-cylinder engine. Maximum power has increased slightly to 17.1hp at 8,750rpm, compared with 16.9hp in the earlier version. Peak torque remains unchanged at 14.6Nm at 6,500rpm.

The mechanical changes are modest, with the bigger updates focused on styling, equipment and rider convenience.

Cruise Control and Three Riding Modes

The Pro and Carbon variants get ride-by-wire throttle technology, three riding modes — Rain, Road and Sport — and cruise control. These features give the motorcycle a more advanced equipment package for everyday riding and longer journeys.

Suspension also differs between the variants. The Standard gets a conventional telescopic front fork, while the Pro and Carbon feature a 37mm KYB upside-down front fork and a rear monoshock with adjustable preload.

Braking hardware includes disc brakes at both ends. The Standard gets single-channel ABS, while the higher variants feature dual-channel ABS.

Carbon Variant Gets a TFT Display

One of the biggest additions is the new TFT instrument display on the Carbon variant. The Pro continues with an LCD console, while the Standard gets an LCD instrument cluster as well.

The Carbon’s display brings a more modern touch to the motorcycle’s cockpit and helps distinguish the top-spec version from the other two variants.

2026 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V: Price in India

The updated motorcycle is priced as follows:

  • Standard: ₹1.27 lakh
  • Pro: ₹1.37 lakh
  • Carbon: ₹1.41 lakh

All prices are introductory and ex-showroom. Bookings have opened across Hero dealerships in India, with deliveries scheduled to begin in November 2026.

Can the Updated Xtreme 160R 4V Make a Stronger Case?

The 160cc segment has established rivals, including the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and Bajaj Pulsar NS160. With the latest update, Hero is giving buyers more reasons to consider the Xtreme 160R 4V, especially if features such as cruise control, riding modes and a TFT display matter to them.

The engine’s modest power increase is unlikely to be the main talking point. Instead, the revised styling and additional technology make this update more significant for buyers looking for a sporty motorcycle with modern features without moving into a larger engine category.
