Mahindra XUV 3XO ZNG Variants Explained: Features, Prices and What’s Different

Team ET October 15, 2026 6 min read

Mahindra has launched the XUV 3XO ZNG in India, bringing a turbocharged CNG powertrain to its compact SUV lineup. Priced from ₹9.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the new model is available in four variants: MX Edge, REVX Edge (O), AX5 and REVX A.

While all four variants share the same basic powertrain, the differences lie in their comfort, technology and styling features. The entry-level MX Edge gets equipment such as a touchscreen infotainment system, cruise control and rear AC vents, while higher variants add features including a Skyroof, leatherette seats, a digital instrument cluster and alloy wheels.

Here is a closer look at what each variant offers.

Mahindra XUV 3XO ZNG: Variant-wise Prices

VariantEx-showroom price
MX Edge₹9.99 lakh
REVX Edge (O)₹10.79 lakh
AX5₹11.19 lakh
REVX A₹12.27 lakh

The price difference between the entry-level MX Edge and the range-topping REVX A is ₹2.28 lakh. Buyers can therefore choose between a relatively affordable CNG SUV with essential features and a more premium version with additional equipment.

1. Mahindra XUV 3XO ZNG MX Edge

Price: ₹9.99 lakh

The MX Edge is the entry point into the XUV 3XO ZNG range, but it is not a bare-bones offering. Mahindra has included several convenience and technology features that buyers would expect from a modern compact SUV.

Key features include:

  • 26.03 cm HD touchscreen infotainment system
  • Wireless Android Auto and wired Apple CarPlay
  • Four speakers
  • Steering-mounted audio controls
  • Rear-view camera and reverse parking sensors
  • Cruise control
  • Bi-halogen projector headlamps
  • LED signature lamp, LED tail lamps and LED ORVM indicators
  • Electrically adjustable outside rear-view mirrors
  • Remote keyless entry and engine start/stop
  • Front and rear power windows
  • Front armrest with storage
  • 60:40 split-folding rear seats
  • Rear AC vents and rear USB Type-C port
  • Front USB Type-C port and 12V socket

The MX Edge also gets smart steering modes, follow-me-home headlamps and an adjustable headrest for the second row.

Safety equipment includes six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), ISOFIX child-seat mounts and seatbelt reminders for all passengers.

The entry-level variant is worth considering for buyers who want the CNG powertrain and essential everyday features without spending more on cosmetic or convenience upgrades.

2. Mahindra XUV 3XO ZNG REVX Edge (O)

Price: ₹10.79 lakh

The REVX Edge (O) costs ₹80,000 more than the MX Edge. Its additional equipment focuses on comfort, convenience and exterior styling.

Features added over the MX Edge include:

  • Skyroof
  • Roof rails
  • Electrically foldable ORVMs
  • Automatic headlamps and automatic wipers
  • Passive keyless entry
  • Push-button start
  • Height-adjustable driver’s seat
  • Black leatherette seats
  • Dual-tone roof
  • Body-coloured and gunmetal-grey grille
  • R16 steel wheels with black wheel covers
  • Rear armrest with cupholders
  • Adjustable second-row centre headrest

The Skyroof is a key addition for buyers who want a more premium cabin experience. The leatherette upholstery and rear armrest also improve the overall feel of the interior.

The REVX Edge (O) makes sense for customers who value these comfort and styling features but do not necessarily need the larger digital display and alloy wheels available with the AX5.

3. Mahindra XUV 3XO ZNG AX5

Price: ₹11.19 lakh

The AX5 sits ₹1.20 lakh above the entry-level MX Edge and ₹40,000 above the REVX Edge (O). Its equipment list places greater emphasis on infotainment, instrumentation and cabin technology.

Key features include:

  • Twin HD 26.03 cm screens for infotainment and the digital instrument cluster
  • Six-speaker audio system
  • R16 diamond-cut alloy wheels
  • Single-pane sunroof
  • LED projector headlamps and LED daytime running lights
  • Infinity LED tail lamp
  • AdrenoX Connect with built-in Alexa
  • Online navigation
  • Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
  • Dual-zone climate control

The twin-screen setup is one of the most noticeable upgrades over the entry-level variant. The digital instrument cluster gives the driver a more modern display, while connected-car technology and online navigation add convenience.

The AX5 also gets alloy wheels and LED lighting, giving it a more premium appearance than the MX Edge.

Buyers should compare the AX5 and REVX Edge (O) carefully. Although the AX5 is priced higher, the two variants have different equipment priorities, particularly when it comes to the sunroof, upholstery and connected features.

4. Mahindra XUV 3XO ZNG REVX A

Price: ₹12.27 lakh

The REVX A is the most expensive variant in the XUV 3XO ZNG range, priced ₹2.28 lakh above the MX Edge.

According to Mahindra’s variant walk, the REVX A adds the following features over the AX5:

  • Panoramic Skyroof
  • Auto-dimming inside rear-view mirror
  • Leatherette upholstery

The panoramic Skyroof is the major highlight, offering a larger glass roof area than the single-pane sunroof available with the AX5. The auto-dimming inside rear-view mirror is another useful addition, particularly when driving at night.

The REVX A is aimed at buyers who want the additional premium touches without moving away from the turbocharged CNG powertrain.

What Is Common Across All Four Variants?

Regardless of the variant, the XUV 3XO ZNG uses a 1.2-litre mStallion turbocharged petrol-CNG engine. Mahindra claims an output of 82 kW and 200 Nm of torque in both fuel modes, along with a certified efficiency figure of 24.7 km/kg.

The SUV also gets a twin-cylinder CNG arrangement beneath the luggage area, leaving a flat loading floor and 270 litres of usable boot space, according to Mahindra.

Six airbags, ESC and ISOFIX child-seat mounts are standard across the range. The integrated gas-leak detection system can also switch the vehicle to petrol mode if a leak is detected.

Which Mahindra XUV 3XO ZNG Variant Should You Consider?

The choice largely depends on how much importance you place on comfort, styling and technology.

  • MX Edge: For buyers looking for the lowest entry price with essential features.
  • REVX Edge (O): For those who want a Skyroof, leatherette seats, automatic wipers and additional convenience features.
  • AX5: For buyers who prioritise a digital instrument cluster, connected technology, LED lighting and alloy wheels.
  • REVX A: For customers who want a panoramic Skyroof and additional premium cabin features.

The MX Edge offers a substantial list of standard equipment at ₹9.99 lakh. The REVX Edge (O) focuses on comfort and styling, while the AX5 brings a stronger technology package. The REVX A sits at the top with its panoramic Skyroof and additional cabin features.

For buyers considering the XUV 3XO ZNG, the important question is not simply which variant costs the least, but which combination of features justifies the additional expenditure.
