Tata Aeris Launched in India at ₹ 5.29 Lakh, Gets Petrol and CNG Options
Tata Motors has launched the new Aeris in India at an introductory price of Rs 5.29 lakh (ex-showroom). The new compact sedan brings a sharper design, a refreshed cabin and additional technology, while continuing with petrol and CNG powertrain options.
The Aeris is available in five variants — Smart, Pure, Pure+, Creative and Accomplished. Prices go up to Rs 9.74 lakh (ex-showroom) for the range-topping CNG AMT variant. Bookings are now open, with deliveries set to begin from October 11, 2026.

A New Look for the Compact Sedan
The Aeris gets a more contemporary design that brings it in line with Tata Motors’ latest styling direction.
At the front, the sedan features slimmer LED headlamps with eyebrow-style DRLs, a gloss-black grille and redesigned bumpers with distinctive pixel-shaped LED fog lamps.
The side profile retains the familiar compact sedan silhouette, while new 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels give the Aeris a more modern appearance. Lower variants and CNG versions get 14-inch wheels.
At the rear, slimmer LED tail-lamps are connected by a red trim element, while the redesigned bumper completes the updated look.
The Aeris will be offered in six exterior colours — Nitro Crimson, Pure Grey, Dandeli Drizzle, Pristine White, Daytona Grey and Dune Glow

More Technology Inside
The cabin has received a significant update, with the dashboard design taking inspiration from Tata’s current-generation interiors.
Depending on the variant, equipment includes a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, semi-digital driver display, wireless phone charger, ventilated front seats and leatherette upholstery.
The Aeris also introduces a DashCam Recorder function that uses the car’s surround-view camera system to record footage.
Safety equipment includes six airbags as standard, a 360-degree camera with blind-spot monitoring, TPMS, hill-hold control and ISOFIX child-seat mounts.

Petrol and CNG Powertrains
Power comes from Tata’s 1.2-litre, three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine.
In petrol form, the engine produces 86hp and 113Nm, with customers getting the choice of a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT.
The CNG version produces 76hp and 97Nm and is available with both manual and AMT transmissions.
The CNG variant continues with Tata’s dual-cylinder setup, helping make better use of the available boot space. The petrol version offers 419 litres of boot space, while the CNG version gets 227 litres.
