Audi India has started local assembly of the all-new Audi Q3 at the SAVWIPL plant in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The new luxury SUV will launch in India on October 16, 2026.

The start of production marks an important milestone for Audi India, with the latest-generation Q3 now being assembled locally ahead of its market launch.

2.0-Litre Petrol Engine and quattro

The all-new Audi Q3 is powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine and comes equipped with Audi’s quattro all-wheel drive. Audi has not yet disclosed the power output, torque, transmission, fuel efficiency, or acceleration figures of the India-spec Q3 in the official press release. These details may be revealed closer to the launch or at the official unveiling on October 16.

Audi says the new Q3 combines dynamic capability with the practicality expected from a compact luxury SUV. It also features a range of segment-first features and technologies.

A New Chapter for the Q3

According to Balbir Singh Dhillon, Brand Director, Audi India, the Q3 has been an important gateway to the Audi brand.

The new generation brings together distinctive design, progressive technology and dynamic character, with Audi viewing the Q3 as an important part of its next phase of growth in India.

Piyush Arora, Managing Director and CEO of Škoda Auto Volkswagen India, said the start of production highlights the capabilities of the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar facility and the group’s commitment to supporting its brands in the country.
